Kass is not picking up what Isher is putting down: whatever species she is from is clearly built for this sort of damage.
That said, I was kind of expecting her to be Kass’s guard even before Elim was injured. She is clearly very loyal, trustworthy, and capable of being gentle, yet capable of being very dangerous if needed, or at least good at threatening. The only question I have is if Kalgkur is going too, and if Kass will consider having her search the city for Yannit instead.
Mother of god, this woman is a friggen space marine.

Either way, Isher’s boasting about her arm is scary.
I’m not 100% sure she’s boasting. She didn’t keep visiting Elim, so she might not have that good a grasp of how much slower humans heal.
Agreed. Boastfulness, especially about her biology, seems incredibly out of character to me. It strikes me more as a combination of clueless and reassuring.
I don’t think the boasting is intentional. To Isher, it’s just a fact of her biology. But to everyone else, it’s kinda freaky.
That’s kinda what I was getting at. Either Isher’s arm is healed, which means she heals insanely fast, or she has a very high pain tolerance (or possibly both). No matter which way it goes, it’s impressive and kinda scary. Isher isn’t good at bluffing, which is why her boasting about her arm is freaking Kass out.

Though maybe if he’d gotten more time to think it over? I wonder how his first thought bubble would have ended if not for Lopin walking out.
He isn’t exactly going to great lengths here. But yeah, we’ve seen him not want to talk about things before that he’s thought about and then talked about after letting it settle in.

The two are not mutually exclusive. In fact, I imagine it would be difficult to see bone *without* seeing muscle!
Though yeah it is odd Kass didn’t mention the bone first.
It just occurred to me that if Isher really does heal this fast, she’s in danger of becoming Ran’s new test subject.
