They did their research!
seeing a Baxxid eat is a… very interesting experience not gonna lie.
I love that the trope about “gross food” was subverted here. I really hate when cliche, boring tropes are overused. But this is so satisfying, that they really tried to please anyone. I especially dislike that trope, because hey, expecting someone from different culture, let alone race, to eat the same food is pretty dumb. I’m very glad that yinglets understand that!
well, to be fair, plenty of humans enjoy snails, escargot is literally jsut french for “snail” and is a delicacy, and same for oysters and clams and mussels…though usually not raw. I think bigger problem is that MANY yinglet foods might kill or poison a human, maybe even a baxxid, as apparently yinglet SOAP is very caustic to non-yinglets. Though raw mollusks and snails are probably definitely an acquired taste.
Though now I wonder, does this world have all the ingredients for GUMBO? Because I bet everyone there would enjoy gumbo. Ooh, or a nice seafood paella. All the recipes for paella seem to require rice though and Yinglets can’t digest wheat, not sure if that extends to rice and all grain, but def can’t eat bread, cuz of how it reacts with their stomach. Not all the recipes for clam/oyster/seafood gumbo use rice though, so that is possible.
“Ah, dessert! Chilled monkey brains.”
I’m wondering about whats going on in the background of panel #3
Oh, that’s just a Yinglet in a hole. happens all the time. don’t worry about it.
Yeah, oops-292 is a good example.
I was thinking closer to OOPs #120, but that one works too, lol
I can’t decide if that looks more like a sushi roll or an egg roll. Maybe Poak’s cooking team could start a restaurant?
He definitely has the skill and knowledge for it.
food cart. Looks like a burrito to me though, with the wrapping
That really is quite the size difference between Kal and the yinglets.
That’s one damn good looking large burrito…that meat looks good too. Though damn, barely a bite for Kalgur.
