It is red meat zhough. Zo far in Valsalia we have not seen many red blooded zhings besides Humani and Yinglets (Maybe Baxxid?). Zo, what do you zhink zhat Baxxid sized extra rare steak came from? My best guess is a Osseous Rex (as seen on OOP #85) zhough it too looks razher like a bug (exoskeleton critter) zo likely not having red meat eizher?
FG05 mentions “large, armored plains-beasts” so I’m guessing perhaps one of them?

This will certainly be interesting!
Two theories here.
Either he is repentant and not actually bound, and the wisdom is that he truly understands what is at stake, and has decided to martyr himself by serving as an example, giving everyone cover when they are trying to keep the peace…
…or he is unrepentant, and his wisdom is strong arguments for breaking the peace with the humans, and the test is to see if kalkgur can fully accept and consider his arguments, then reject them, proving himself to be truly committed to the alliance with the humans.
Or, he is going to try and convince him that he should be freed, and the test is to see whether or not he tries to let him go.
The implication of his name though is that he Knows What He Did and accepts that this is the Fate it brought him: the wisdom he imparts is the true consequences of what he did in The wider world, because, as his name says, He Knows What He Did.
Or perhaps the arguments are right, and humanity should be eliminated? 🤔
Oh no, He Who Know What He Did isn’t ready for a baxxid who managed to annoy stalked baxxids, who experience time at an extremely heightened rate. Kalgkur might start visiting him more often.
I guess it’s meant as a punishment for all concerned…
After over 40 years in what seems to be solitary confinement, HWKWHD might find welcome company in someone as chatty as Kalgkur. Though Kalgkur isn’t in a chatty mood right now.

Wild theory that just went through my head: what if He Who Knows What He Did isn’t actually real, but either someone who is no longer around or never existed to begin with, and Kalkgur is about to have a conversation with someone pretending to be him in order to see if Kalkgur is truly committed to the alliance? That could be a weird twist.
Since no one has posted a reference, the original appearance of He Who Knows What He Did was in Field guide entry 7, where it is stated that he is the only Baxxid to challenge the alliance with the humans…

Zhe days when zhere was easy postings were so, so terrible wizh zhe bot postings. I zhink zhe boss spent more time and non-horni zhinkings deleting and managing posts zhan actually doing drawings. Being hard to post has cut down on total postings here, and zhe boss is more active on ozher sites where ozhers manage zhe website, so I dunno if zhe boss does much more zhan look at here as a side project.
I would hate to learn that the author thinks of the website that bears the comic’s name as a “side project.” It’s probably just that he doesn’t want to fix what isn’t broken, with an understandable reluctance to risk making comments accessible enough for bots.
