+100500. That’s probably the greatest thing in this episode. It’s totally in-character and looks pretty normal since Viracroix is even borrowing some cultural elements from yinglets, but it is still so lovely to see marked in bold font.

Time to see just how much Vizlet can buck the traditional Yinglet patriarchy. Its the Council that’s likely who hired Brakka, and we’ll see Narklet (oop 27) as the council’s hand in this. I’m thinking Vizlet will end up in with the Trademaster when she gets removed as Matriarch by the Yinglet council eventually.
Still though, what’s the Council’s game? What’s their objective? So far it just seems they want to keep the status quo. That obviously would involve a coup against Vizlet.
I’m just very unsure of the goals of both sides are here.
I’m not sure maintaining status quo would require removing Vizlet, as she is very much a part of said state.
Also, i’m not 100% certain the entire council is into those schemes.
She isn’t though. She is very progressive, wanting yinglets to learn from humans like she has, which the Counsil is vehimately against.
Think the two main series OOP and learn to live might not take place in the exact same time, but both are getting to the story of the council in different ways at the same time. I’d like to think Vislet and Kass founded Mori’s Yinglet renegades he’s ran into. Probably wrong, but some of those Yinglets do look a awful lot like Kass and Vislet.
Hold up, did Valsalia ever say LTL was canon to OOP?

@ Anon, actually there are several. In order of quality (IMHO) Learn to Live, which is the one you will re-read just for the gorgeous artwork and storyline. New Ties, where Yinglets make first contact with the Federation of the Star Trek universe (why not the baxxids?), and Scav’s Glory, which takes a random yinglet from the pages of OOP and throws him into a adventure to prove himself worthy of honor.
Chasing Bolide is also an amazing spin off, zat now has more pages zan OoPs. Fenric’s Yinglet Love story has 20 pages so far. And Forgotten Futures is za newest Yinglet comic I know of.
So that is six Oops spin offs I know of so far. Hoo knows how many more to come!

Brakka’s day just went from bad to worse.
The Yinglet Assassin reminds me of Skaven.
That comment manages to insult both Skaven and Yinglets. (Though you aren’t wrong).
Well Brakka now has a slightly better chance of surviving this. But not much.

The last comic stated that a all black Yinglet has sired Feena’s eggs, and now we see a all black Yinglet saying he has been busy. Heh. Yeah he’s been busy all right @ <3 !!

It was spoken with 4 “A”s but with yinglet’s speech impediments versus a human’s, Can’t really say she would actually spell it with 4 letter a’s. Do yinglets spell words without the “TH” in writing? I’d think not. Certainly Cass don’t yet.

Does anyone else find it kinda odd that the last few pages have been their own independent little stories? Like, each page they go to a different place with different characters. Perhaps Val is doing this as a sort of time skip while Elim is recovering?
This is more like showing how the news is spreading and how everyone is reacting to the stabbing. Once the news is done making the rounds we’ll probably see more characters acting on it rather than reacting to it, which is what we’re starting to see here.
Nothing indicates this isn’t still the same day (now night) as the trip to the nursery. Kass is probably very sleep deprived by now.
I’m hoping Isher will get more Kass time while Elim is recovering (as Kass’ new bodyguard), so a time skip would be less than ideal.
Think its a shift in the story from “It sucks to be a yinglet” to “I have less than 20 years to live, and I’ll be dammed if its spent running away from life”. That shift means Kass living in a larger world than when she was hiding from it.
I disagree. We havent really seen how Kass has been affected by the attack in the long term yet.
While Kass and his group remain the anchor of the story, each character and group have their own stories going on! : D
I’m not complaining. I just wish we had a bit of a story arc going on instead of jumping to a new group each page. I’m just eager to see what happens next

Think its called comedy. Sal Valia kind of likes a chuckle now and again. If you like your ratbird extra spicy, might read “Learn to live” on Deviant Art. Just follow the links on this page to the deviant art link, then to his favorites. There is another called Scav’s Glory, but the storyline has kind of lost me as being too out of tone to OOP’s.
