Ooh, are we going to learn some information that explains Narklet’s role in all this and makes things a little more ambiguous for whose side we should be on?
Grammatically, Narklet should use “are” in panel 5, not “iz”, because as he explicitly points out, he’s referring to a plural number of things. Is the grammar mistake a typo or intentional? Previous appearances made Narklet seem reasonably well-spoken (at least by yinglet standards).
Grammar aside–dang, that was a menacing sentence from Narklet.
Part of why it’s so menacing is that he’s blind to the fact that he’s a menace. Narklet honestly thinks he’s a good guy, and everyone else is too afraid of the people who sent him to tell him otherwise.
Kass should carry a straight razor on her, hidden in a little pocket and quickly accessible for cutting a fool. Fancy white gloves would be a bonus. For example, should she be waylaid by a Brakka or a certain Nark, she could whip it out and, with a flick of her wrist, *m*sc*l*t* him. Or at least threaten him. :p

Everybody here assuming that he’s going to do something cruel, like demand that the female breed, or get in Kasses face about something…
…has it occurred to people that he is always polite, very naive, and very good at not showing his hand so far?
My guesses are either…
“I care about you and want to help you understand Yinglet culture, because it’s your culture, rather than you bring human culture here.” Which would be sincere, but also further his actual goals.
“You have to understand that the humans do not care about you, and are just using you to trick the rest of us. Only we care about you.” Which would be incredibly naive, but again, he likely believes he can turn Kass against the humans, which would further his goals.
“I want to work with you, and I want you to be welcome in Yinglet culture, but I also need you to know that I will do anything to further the goals I have been sent here for, and I won’t hesitate to go through you if you stand in my way.” …which might potentially be good for Kass, because then she would have a chance to reassure him that Viracroix just wants another trade partner, Vizlet just wants more stability and resources, ask him for some demands, and agree outright to them.
And on those lines, it’s also possible that he’ll tell her she’d be happier if she just fell in line with the other young females and bred, but again, he’s not going to be cruel about that, and he genuinely believes that. I am also thinking, If he believes that, Vizlet can say she doesn’t think it’s a good time to push that as the expert on Females here, and he might find out that Bralla sexually assaulted her.
Another one that just clicked to me, maybe he’s going to point out that even though Kass is an officer, there are no other yinglits in the ranks, because humans don’t take yinglets seriously enough for Ivenmoth to hire them.
I don’t really those cruel things happening, especially not the fist one. But I do think Narklet is less naïve than he lets on and is actually quite politically savvy. I see two major possibilities:
1. He sees this human-raised diplomat as a powerful ally of the progressive faction of the Enclave and wants to try and sway her to his side—or at least neutrality—by either persuasion or intimidation via veiled threats.
2. Considering he was going so far as colluding with exiles to find Zhat Zhing™, he may know just enough about its nature to be suspicious of this new female that knows little of their ways appearing out of nowhere.
Actually, as I’m writing this I thought of a third possibility: maybe he thinks Kass is an offspring of Zeska and will be a bad influence on the Enclave. Depends on how long ago her departure was and how old Kass appears (still mad at them for cutting that line of inquiry off at the pass).
OOPs now has a Russian translation which updates shortly after the English pages are posted!

I think it’s been made adamantly clear that Narklet is not to be trusted.

Could be a Freudian slip, considering there’s logically only one “Zhing” he really wants to ask her about.
I think Narklet is about to learn a few things himself.

I keep wondering why she’s not carrying some sort of rapier or other finesse-based blades weapon…
Great idea Narklet. I’m sure you’re aware that Kass LOVES being told how he should behave as a Scav.

I did not expect this to become paragraphs, nor did I expect them to be so long when I posted it. Too bad I can’t edit in more line breaks.
