We’ve only seen a couple of them, but Brakka’s guards look awfully homogeneous compared to the other rank-and-file enclave yings we’ve seen. Maybe he (or the place he came from? I feel like some other greater enclave has been mentioned before) is focusing on breeding one specific form of yinglet rather than producing more variety like Vizlet’s clan does?
Also, it’s getting progressively creepier to think about what they want those transformative relics for. Human kidnapping and forcible assimilation comes to mind.

I think the most likely candidate is making more female yinglets so they can get over the current bottleneck on their population growth. If they had one female for every male, they’d take over the planet through numbers alone.
That’s exactly what I figured they wanted to do. What concerned me was how willing those new female yinglets would actually BE.
It was mentioned that before the Leader united the enclaves, there were frequent inter tribal raids to steal females. Presumably, Narklet is thinking of females like many other conservative religious sorts do, as a type of highly valuable property.
Very willing, I imagine, if you’re talking yinglets. Serving their community, and being promoted to the comfortable (if sheltered) life of a female? Lots of volunteers.
I know that the transformation exist because of a fetish, but from the canon comic so far is there any reason to believe it only work by transforming human males in female yinglets?
If the objective is to increase the number of breeders it’s logical that they would be made to turn someone into a female yinglet, but would it work on any living being? Wouldn’t the intended target of such transformation be male yinglets?
Unless the transformed humans would be bringing more intelligence into their breeding stock.
Which is probably how they went from the yessir..erm.. lesser yinglet to the greater yinglet.
Clearly vut happened to Diplomat Kassen was an accident. Is not wise to assume an accident is za intent. Za Zat Zing likely to work on menny types of creatures… And bore intelligent yinglets taking greater advantage of hyoomin knowledge is exactly what Vizlet is promoting and Narklet is trying to avert.
We’ll never know for sure unless/until someone breaks one of these artifacts against the head of a Baxxid, will we?

Nah, he wouldn’t do it unless he already had a way to turn the person back. He’s an eccentric scientist, not a mad scientist.
If he had access to a large enough supply to permit experimentation? He can be sensible and use them on terminally ill test subjects.

I dont think he would do that even if he wanted to transforming humans in to Yinglets would quickly get every one to attack the Yinglet race and were would he get the food to feed that many Yinglets just alone kidnapping that many humans would rise a red flag

Maybe thats why Brakka is lucky? For all we know the “sample” turns anyone into a female yinglet. Which considering the barefoot and pregnant approach narklets faction treats females, would be a good way to get rid of a failure and serve as a warning to the others.

But surely Narklet would realize that Kassen was human, if he knew that zat zing did. Suddenly a random female yinglet that was not part of any enclave just popping unti existence and is working with Ivanmoth would be obvious.

Naklet’s faction, and Vizlet’s faction agree on zis… I’m not seeing enny yinglets wearing shoes, so all “bare foot”.
And females being pregnant as often as we can as long as zere is enough food for ze enclave, zat goes back to wise Great Leader. You are not questioning Great Leader’s wisdom are you? You want to go back to za era of blood and hunger and unending strife and tribal warfare zat we had before Great Leader?! Zat is such a terrible zing! No no. Zis is so much better. More food, more yinglets, explore new areas! I spend as much time wiff my younglets as I can, but Zis is za best way for yinglets! Do not question Great Leader’s wisdom!
It’s not quite so bad: The females are sheltered, but not without soft power. The Patriarchs may hold most of the power, but the Matriarch controls breeding schedules – and that’s a good reason to stay in her good books! Any yinglet who treats the females poorly won’t be getting a slot, and all females have the potential for promotion to a Matriarch position if they demonstrate the aptitude.
Narklet’s enclave seems more advanced than Vizlet’s one. They have much better weapon and they seems more organized and look a bit more like egiptians. The weapons seems something much beyond the ability of a common yinglet.
It could simply be that those guards are the ‘best of the best’, which would explain why they got those weapons. Those spear heads thiugh are really oversized. I think they might have been part of a human weapon and just reattached to a smaller rod for a yinglet.
Maybe they’re all narklets brothers from the same father, rather than the mix and match system they have going on up here?
I kinda now hope Brakka recovers so he can divulge all that he knows. Or become some humans pet Yinglet, whatever works.
He would look good in whatever embarrassing outfit they would put him in. And he might learn to love being a pet eventually.
By his comments, I get the feeling he’s already been saddled with that kind of experience before, and was not enamored of it.

I don’t think Brakka is thinking much of anything there. Has that ‘the lights are on, but no one’s home’ look there.

Narklet is every bit the jerk we were led to believe that he is. Never trust a zealot.
Brakka is bleeding from both nose and ear, and seems like he might be hallucinating, whether from injury directly or from the pain is anybody’s guess.
I predict that Brakka will survive because it’s more interesting than dying before somebody finds him. With those injuries, I think his memories of where he found zhat zing will be unavailable to him, or he might simply spend some time being too deep within the folds of madness to recognize what he’s being asked or associate it with anything useful.
I expect, probably, that his memories and his ability to use his memories will both be available to him at a very crucial and inconvenient time, and he will try to leverage them in a way that will also be inconvenient, and which will probably doom him unless his story arc takes some sort of unexpected redemption turn.
I’m pretty sure the only way he survives an encounter with Kass is with somebody there to prevent “Brakka’s Death Part II: Electric Boogaloo” or else with it being prolonged so far out in the future that he has had time to heroically sacrifice himself at least once and also save thousands of lives. In the event that the latter happens, he’ll probably still be due a whoopin’.
I also predict tasty food. Wait, no, I’m just hungry. I’m going to go make a burrito.

This is very interesting. Narklet is quite possibly the most intelligent male Yinglet we’ve seen so far, for all his fundamentalism, and it’s clear that he has his own set of plans for the species. It’ll be interesting to see how it all pans out, especially because Narklet and the Matriarch both have what they each believe to be benevolent intents.
Correction: Vizlet has benevolent intentions. Narklet at best has benevolent intentions for yinglets and ambiguous ones for other races. At worst they’re directly malevolent for everyone BUT yinglets. As for intelligence, I’d say the covert ops yinglet in Vizlet’s camp is at least good competition.
I think we’re seen poak show some emotional intelligence when he meet elim and in the previous comic. The swallowing a fish thing was silly, but wrapping the worms was smart. I bet all the patriarchs are pretty competent. Vislet wasn’t super impressed by narklet.
What if the elders dont know what narklet is up to i mean why is he working with some one who is banished i think it because he knows most yinglets will not go with such a idea think about how many are of them that would be willing abuse a human let alone one turn in to female yinglet because rember thay respect female alot
I like the little detail of Brakka’s tooth being ground down to basically nothing after being dragged along so far.
Hoping the blue yinglet gets a more prominent role, going forward. One of the cutest yinglets so far :).
