I just love seeing Kess dealing with, and trying to figure out their instincts and reflexes like this.

XD ok so if you watch kass’s eyes during the page till her hair covers them it gets stupidly funny from how she stairs at the situation. XD and flinglets are becoming a thing.
If you look at the Mountain Glider in the Val Salian Field Guide published in January 2020 its outstretched arms and tail are the same as Kass here, now he has no visible means of support (other than Isher). Fly, little yinglet, fly!
Is this a clue to parallel evolution?
This is the kind of thing that makes me imagine Ran strapping a tapestry to a yinglet and trying to fly it like a kite “…just to see what would happen.”
