Unsure as of yet unsure if his advances have any actual romantic intent to them, or if she would have any actual romantic interest in his species, but it does occur to me that this may be the first time someone has shown this much appreciation for her work, especially a sober and educated person like him.
I do wonder why Kalgkur would look at an object zhe way he does here. Baxxid have zhose odd eyes zhat gives zhem depzh vision for most of their sorroundings. Heck due to de distance between de forwardmost two, and de forwardmost eye and the rearmost eye, a Baxxid would actualy see better if dey looked at zhings from a side view.
Perhaps Kalgkur was using a different sense? Or each set of eyes sees in a different wavelegnzh? (Red, Blue, Green for example) Or are zhey compound eyes (Like an Ivenmozh) zhat are just smoozh looking for us to look at?
Anyway, Baxxid are weird. Merry Yingmas everyone!
It’s good that Nell isn’t an artist who’s bugged by people looking at her unfinished work, or watching over her shoulder as she works, because now that she and Kalgkur have been properly introduced, he’s likely to come hang out ALL THE TIME

I have guessed zhis myself before. Zhough if Baxxid-human hybrids were a zhing I doubt Isher would be alone in Valsalia in being one. But in zhe boss’s typical fashion, he dangled zhis in front of us years ago IRL, and didn’t follow up on it.
