Gonna be honest, that theory has never made much sense to me beyond “we know of about 4 species, so she HAS to be one of them”, which I’m pretty sure is a fallacy? …might need to double check that one.
At least to my eyes, the only thing about her that even looks close to a Baxxid is that her claws and horn have same generic bone color, which isn’t really doing much to sell me. Honestly, I’d say she looks closer to a Ying on roids, but that’s also a pretty big reach.
I think I’ll believe it when Isher unfolds into a plant.
I believe the id of her instincts have taken over… I fear she is lost until she is far away from the baxxid…
… well… almost… she clearly purposefully missed Isher in that attack… she knows she’s there, but the baxxid smell has plagued her mind to the point of her losing almost all control.
well, she hit the wall, not Isher. I think Yannit is trying really hard not to lose control right now.
That could be a return to the routine of being a hive worker, because she can’t think of anything else right now; it could be a warning; it could be a way of coping with the pain.
Either way, I’m not sure diplomacy is going to be effective.
Ran’s going to need a super overpowering smell to pull Yannit back.

Isher, you are a large organism currently soaked in Baxxid dizzysmell. Yannit doesn’t “see” like you do, you are going to “read” like a second Baxxid, which is definitely NOT what Yannit needs right now. Of course you don’t know that, because you didn’t see the things leading up to this, but what we need right now is for those ventilation shafts to kick in full blast, or for Ran to open up a can of surströmming. Of course, then EVERYONE would randomly start trying to attack or flee…except maybe for Lopin, who might go after it like Dr. Zoidberg goes after sardines.
