Zhat time is all de time. Zhis is just more zhan usual, and for different reasons.
We all thought she looked pretty in the red. I hope she makes it back, but there’s been no sign of her all day and into the night, assuming the panic happened in the morning. It feels like people are already talking about her in the past tense. Is she a missing person or do the characters know something the readers don’t?
Lopin isn’t exactly free to wonder around, seeing zhat someone is out in de city wanting to eat his eyes and all.
Given the sheer amount of fluids (ichor?), and under the assumption that indrel have an open circulatory system like earth arthropods, this really does not seem survivable. I hope I’m wrong, Yannit is a good girl and I’d hate to see bad things happen to her.
If she does survive, I can only hope Ran figures out a long-term solution to the seeming fundamental incompatibility of indrel and baxxid. Perhaps dusting Kal in snakeroot powder? I recall one of the early pheromone experiments showing Yannit interpret powdered snakeroot as a welcome guest or something of the like.
