I’ve actually been thinking a lot about how Kass hasn’t been wearing their hair ties since Elim got stabbed and was wondering if hair getting in the eyes was still an issue. I guess that answers my question.
(Poem incoming soon. Haven’t given up on the gimmick yet, but wanted to get my thoughts out while they were still fresh lol.)
I’ve been wondering the same thing. Those hair ties don’t really change the style, but I can see how Kass could be super-conservative about not changing the one thing that wasn’t forced to change. This being an official diplomatic visit, at least Kass can refuse any more attempts at a makeover.
That’s what I’m thinking, especially now that attention has been brought to it. If it’s the one thing left of “you” it makes sense to not want to change it, even if it’s impractical.
Not like he seemed to style his hair before, simply just letting it grow and place itself. But he could still style the hair without conceding to using feminine hair accessories.
Slicked back hair seems to be a common unisex hairstyle, or a loose mohawk which is a very common male hair style for scavs.
Wow, Kass needs to talk to someone before a haircut becomes a suicide.

Also, boy(girl?) has trouble holding a quill, scissors or any other blade probably not a great idea for now. Especially near the head.

Ying-Kass seeing human-Kass in the mirror is a nice touch. It would really make it interesting if everyone else saw human-Kass in the mirror as well.
I feel like that would be a very different sort of story haha
